What you will do: Project and account management on a range of corporate and international brands. What you must have: Minimum of five years’ experience in an project/account manager role in an event and production agency or corporate environment ideally combined with a diploma or degree in PR, marketing, advertising or equivalent.

We are looking for a driven, hard-working, capable, and creative talent to join our Experience team in the position of Project Manager (Events).

We’re looking for a great team player, who has loads of experience within an agency environment and is able to confidently coordinate teams of varying sizes to make sure we keep producing brilliant corporate events.

You will be able to communicate clearly, effectively, and passionately so that everyone is aligned on each project – making sure everyone has a clear brief of what’s expected from them.
You’ll be ambitious and full of drive and excited about coming up with a creative approach to each project, as you are about the clear and detailed plan for delivering it.

You will want to deliver the best event each and every time whilst helping the company to grow.

You will be required to manage complex events (up to R5m budgets) and know how to manage audiences of up to 2,000+ people. You’re great at keeping clients on the side, juggling project teams, answering briefs, scheduling, budgeting as well as live and digital event delivery.

As a Worx Group Project Manager, you will plan, coordinate, and deliver pre-production, production, and post-production of live events, virtual events, and communications projects, from creative briefs to execution with a strong focus on messaging and content development. You’ll be working closely with our team of Event Managers, Production Managers, and Designers on client liaison, creative delivery, production planning, supplier, venue and talent relations, studio and content creation, and live show delivery amongst others.

The events you will be responsible for producing will range from road shows, launches, exhibitions, and internal conferences to awards ceremonies and celebratory events – running as virtual, hybrid or in-person events. No two days will be the same!

You will need a solid working understanding of all elements of Live & Virtual Events and related studio/content production disciplines and be ready to back up your CV credentials with real world applications of your skills in action and an appreciation of the modern event industry landscape.

Minimum of five years’ related agency or corporate experience with exposure to client management responsibilities and a proven track record of project management in action combined with a good grip on the technical disciplines within eventing from staging and AV through to health and safety.

Scope of work:

  • Execution of live In-Person, Hybrid, and Virtual event production plans, interpret creative campaign elements into event related collateral, create and deliver experiential/hospitality moments while managing the related budgetary and contractual disciplines as directed by Client Service Directors, Senior Project Managers, and other key team members.
  • Prepare detailed event production plans, onboard and manage the portfolio of talent, venues, and supplier partners from creative concepts through to onsite live event production delivery.
  • Oversee and provide solutions on show content (graphics, presentations, video, technical elements, etc.)
  • Direct and support creative contributors from script writing and show calling through to design and layout production. You will manage presenters during technical briefings, platform orientations, rehearsals, recordings, and live events from remote or studio locations, or event venues.
  • You will create show documents, including rehearsal schedules, technical scripts and timetables, etc. and ensure media assets are properly organized and distributed.
  • Take responsibility for the logistics and production planning and roll-out for a portfolio of client projects from initial production launch through to final wrap-up.
  • Ensure project budgets, planning schedules, production delivery, and internal platforms are always current.
  • Contributing to daily meetings, client liaising, and updating all parties on project activities, including attending regular status meetings.
  • Analysing project deliver towards client feedback/reviews and supplier/partner reviews.
  • Build strong working relationships with key industry suppliers and production partners.
  • Contribute creatively and constructively to pitch and proposal related activities.
  • Fulfil all aspects of the agreed scope of work for the client timeously and to a standard set within the company as per defined Excellence and Playbook guidelines.
  • Providing innovative and creative ideas to clients.
  • Communicating effectively with a range of stakeholders.

Place and hours of work:
Our offices are based in the Rosebank business hub. This role involves significant time in the office and working on-site at venues for site meetings and events with limited work-from-home hybrid arrangements.

Normal working hours are 8:30am-5.00pm, Monday-Friday with events taking place during the evening and at weekends.
